Always a friendly welcome. Lovely simple camp site with basic facilities. Best part is no booking, super for a last minute night away. Val and Mick do such an amazing job, perfect site.

Absolutely fantastic camping field. Slightly uneven with grass a bit too long and with minimal facilities! Exactly what you want for an old fashioned & real camping experiance! Toilets, showers & pot wash kept nice & clean & tidy. Nice & relaxed friendly atmosphere. Site wardens operating from the cabin kitchen couldn't be more friendly & helpful! Nice village with pub, shop & church only 10 minutes walk away. Several public footpaths leading from site into deepest Dorset & the coastal path. Had a great weekend & looking forward to going back as soon as possible!

Beautiful campsite. Incredible views. Near Swanage and has some lovely walks. Campsite is well equipped, is friendly and open. Electric hookup if needed. Would definitely revisit

Stumbled on Acton Field camp site by accident.Very pleased we did. Were pitched at the top of the field. Amazing views. The owner came round later and took payment. So relaxed and down to earth. Made us feel very welcome. Hot showers (20p per 2 mins) all very clean with clean toilets. Kitchen sinks for washing up stuff. At night it was nice and quiet. Will defo be coming back to this friendly popular site.

Great low-key campsite, with simple clean facilities and friendly staff. Check map to ensure you take the correct turn-off from main road. Ground a bit lumpy but finding a spot not difficult. Good base for exploring the coast on foot - Kings Arms and picturesque Square and Compass are pubs within easy reach

A really laid back, simple campsite with amazing views over the water to the Isle of Wight. It's lumpy but finding a good pitch isn't difficult and there are so many places to walk to direct from the site. You could pitch up and leave your car if you wanted to. We spent a really happy couple of days here and we'll be going back in the future.

I seriously can't rate this place enough, Mick and Val who run the campsite are such a great couple, friendly and welcoming. We called ahead on a spur of the moment idea as to make the most of this beautiful weather, this was around 6pm, rocked up about 8.30. choose our own pitch, we opted for grass pitch no electric hook up although this is available in certain areas. The site offers lovely hot showers, women's and men's toilets, a washing up area, free use of fridges and freezers, charging for phones etc (there is a small charge for this and a deposit). There is also a great little food wagon serving breakfasts, hot/cold drinks and some lovely cakes & evening meals, all homemade and very reasonable prices. There is a pub and village shop within walking distance, also a bus stop. I'd driving its about 10 minutes down the hill to Swanage. Beautiful coastal walks from the campsite. I can't wait to go back.
